Jacquelyn S. Hilderbrandt, AIA, President
Jackie moved to the Midwest from the city of Pittsburgh and completed her Bachelor of Engineering Technology and Bachelor of Architecture degrees at Andrews University. She leads the firm as Director of Operations, which includes a range of responsibilities from project management to specification writing to human resources. She has focused her career on educational designs spanning from pre-school to higher education, but has experience in other building types as well. Jackie is also involved in various non-profit organizations and believes that architects have a unique perspective and responsibility to "give back" to the community.

Dean R. Bergeman, AIA, Vice President
Dean loves the mountains of Idaho where he was raised but after completing his Bachelor of Architecture degree at the University of Idaho, has chose to share his talents with the South Bend community. Dean leads the firm as Director of Design which is his life long passion. He is personally committed to achieve the best in every project. While his professional experience is broad his main focus is health care. His goal is to design sustainable, healthy buildings which will make our world a better place for all. Dean commits much time and talent to numerous community organizations to make our community a better place to live.

Stephen A. Anella, AIA, CEO and President Emeritus
Steve grew up in New York City but studying at the University of Notre Dame brought him to the Midwest. After completing his Bachelor of Architecture degree, he served our country in the Army. He chose to return to South Bend to raise his family, begin his career and further his education. He joined MPA Architects in 1970 and completed his Master of Business Administration degree at the University of Notre Dame during his early years with the firm. Steve is President and CEO Emeritus, and has led the firm into the 21st century. He plans to increase his involvement in the community as he transitions into retirement but will continue to share his knowledge with MPA on a consulting basis.
